Browns may cut ties with all 4 healthy QBs in shocking decision before 2026 season

The Cleveland Browns could have the option to clean house.

It’s not clear and obvious how rough the 2025 season might be in a crowded quarterback room that includes Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.

There’s definitely the potential for a bit of ugly. And if it’s a lot ugly, the Browns might be ready to move on from everyone.

That’s what ESPN’s Dan Graziano suggested in a new article out Wednesday:

“Flacco’s guaranteed money is $3 million,” Graziano began to explain. “Pickett’s is a little over $2.6 million. Neither is signed beyond 2025. Gabriel was a third-round pick, while Sanders was taken in the fifth round. Sure, the Browns still owe Deshaun Watson $92 million over the next two years, but there’s nothing they can do about that now, and they’re clearly looking for a post-Watson answer. Picking up an extra 2026 first-round pick in their draft day deal with the Jaguars puts them in position to move on from their entire QB room next year if they want to do so.”

That would be something new.

As Graziano clarifies, the Browns would still be paying Watson, but he could work out to be a passive bystander.

There isn’t huge investment in any of the other four quarterbacks on the roster.

It could also depend on Kevin Stefanski’s job status. If he happened to get fired, then there’d be a lot less support in these currents QBs’ corner.

Stay tuned, because the quarterback drama in Cleveland is far from over.
