Around the NFL, there aren’t many other teams that have as big of a draft decision as the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns are in a good position to find their long-term quarterback if they believe that Shedeur Sanders could be the guy, but some have started to question whether Sanders is as good as others believe.
With two exciting prospects outside of the quarterback position, Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter, the Browns could focus on the defensive side of the football and draft either player.
However, according to a recent report from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Browns have some level of interest in Sanders.
“From what I’m hearing, the Browns at two, the Giants at three have Shedeur Sanders at least in consideration in the mix though the Browns seem to be leaning pass rusher Abdul Carter at this point,” Fowler said, according to SI. “But the tricky part with Sanders is where he falls.”
Despite the interest in drafting Carter, there seems to be a possibility that the Browns have a change of heart and go the quarterback route.

There isn’t a right or wrong answer here, as both players have a strong chance to be valuable players in the NFL.
The last thing the Browns want is to bring in another quarterback who doesn’t work out. Carter would be the safer pick, but there’s more upside in drafting Sanders and hoping he becomes a star.
That won’t be an easy task, as the Browns have found out over much of the past decade, but they’re in a position where they might have to take a risk, and Sanders would be just that.
