Brock Bowers came into Week 1 already owning an argument as the NFL’s best tight end.
Coming into the Raiders’ season-opening matchup against the Patriots, it was highly expected that Bowers would settle in as new quarterback Geno Smith’s top weapon in Las Vegas’ passing game. And through three quarters on Sunday, that was the case.
Bowers was over the 100-yard receiving mark in the fourth quarter of the Raiders’ Week 1 game, but he then went to the medical tent with an apparent knee injury.

Brock Bowers injury update
Bowers was often drafted as the TE1 in fantasy football leagues this season, and he made good on that honor against the Patriots. He had five catches for 103 yards as of the fourth quarter, when Las Vegas was looking to close out a Week 1 win.
However, Bowers then took a hit to his legs in the fourth quarter while near the sideline, and after staying on the field a bit longer, the tight end went over to the medical tent after showing a visible limp.
Here’s a look at the hit Bowers took, then another play where he began limping:

After the game, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Bowers is expected to be fine moving forward and isn’t dealing with any notable injury.
Just talked to #Raiders TE Brock Bowers and he says he’s fine. Took a little hit on the knee, came out to get checked out. No concerns moving forward.
