The Milwaukee Brewers got huge news on Monday afternoon with star outfielder Jackson Chourio returning to their lineup for Game 2 of the NLDS against the Chicago Cubs.
Chourio started Game 1 and went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBI and a run scored before leaving the game injured.
The Brewers’ star left the game with a hamstring injury in the second inning after getting his second hit of the inning.
Chourio Returns For Brewers
At the time of Chourio’s injury, the Brewers had gone up 9-1 in the second inning.
Whether it was precautionary or the Brewers were seriously worried about Chourio’s hamstring, you could certainly tell he was in pain and Isaac Collins came into the game to pinch-run for him.

Up until this afternoon, the Brewers weren’t sure if Chourio would be healthy enough play in Monday night’s Game 2. However, manager Pat Murphy said Chourio will be in the lineup and batting leadoff.
The Brewers’ star went through drills testing out his hamstring and went through the motions of running out of the batters box down to first base during pregame.

Getting Chourio back is a huge boost for Milwaukee. The young star was one of the Brewers top hitters throughout the regular season, hitting .270 with a .771 OPS, 21 home runs and 78 RBI.
The Brewers got the win in Game 1, and Chourio was the team’s spark plug. He had three hits through the first two innings of the game.
Now, they’ll have him back ready for Game 2 looking to take 2-0 series lead as it heads back to Chicago.
