AFC Bournemouth face a major crisis after confirming that Turkish striker Enes Unal has suffered a severe injury during training.
The 26-year-old tore his right anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during a routine drill on Tuesday, dealing a heavy blow to the team’s plans.
Unal has appeared in every Premier League match since the start of September, although only two of those 17 appearances have been starts. He scored two goals in England’s top flight this season, including a stunning free-kick against West Ham.
However, this injury is set to sideline him for an extended period, with surgery scheduled in the coming days.
A club statement read: “Our thoughts are with Enes as he begins another significant period of rehabilitation. He will undergo surgery, and our medical team will support him throughout. We are all behind him.”

Bournemouth faces double injury blow
Adding to Bournemouth’s woes, Brazilian forward Evanilson underwent surgery earlier this week after breaking his metatarsal during Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Everton.
Evanilson, known for his tireless efforts in the Cherries’ recent good form, suffered the injury late in the game.
That looks set to give Unal an opportunity to enjoy a run of starts but Andoni Iraola’s side are now expected to explore options in the January transfer window.
Bournemouth are seventh in the Premier League. Nine wins, six draws, and five losses mean they are firmly in contention to secure a spot in European competitions for next season.
