The Boston Red Sox continued their dominance over their top rival, the New York Yankees, on Saturday. The win for the Red Sox was their third straight, all on the road at Yankee Stadium. The final was 12-1 Boston.
The Red Sox got the party started early and often, with a Trevor Story two-RBI double in the third inning. In the fourth, rookie Roman Anthony and then Alex Bregman drove in runs, and it was quickly 4-0 Red Sox.
Giancarlo Stanton smacked his 16th home run of the season in the bottom half of the fourth, but the Red Sox came back with a solo homerun of their own – from Story.

NewYork tried to rally in the eighth inning with an Aaron Judge double and a Cody Bellinger single, but the Red Sox were able to retire both Giancarlo Stanton and Jazz Chisholm.
Jalen Duran, Nathaniel Lowe, Ceddanne Rafaela and David Hamilton all drove in runs in the eighth to cushion the lead. Then, Carlos Narvaez hit a home run to make it 12-1 Boston.
The win for Boston came from their staff ace Garrett Crochet. He went seven strong innings, allowing just five hits, and the Stanton homerun was the only blemish. He struck out 11 and walked just one. Crochet is now 14-5 on the season and has surpassed 200 strikeouts on the season.
For the Yankees, Will Warren lasted just four innings, allowing seven hits and five runs. He is now 7-6 on the season.
The Red Sox will look to finish off a rare four-game sweep on Sunday Night Baseball. The projected starters are Dustin May for the Red Sox and Carlos Rodon for the Yankees.
