With the Toronto Blue Jays rocking their Canada Day red uniforms, George Springer shone the brightest.
The veteran outfielder crushed two home runs, including a grand slam, as the Blue Jays sent their faithful home happy with a victory.
And in the process, Springer reached a cool personal milestone.
He has now hit 100 home runs with the Blue Jays.
Springer was a long-time star for the Houston Astros before joining Toronto.
For a time, it looked like Springer’s decline might be too great and bring a sad end to his Blue Jays career.
But this season, Springer looks more like his old self, and he’s crushing baseballs all over the ballpark again like he did earlier in his career.
There’s no telling if Springer will keep this up or not, but it’s fun while it lasts. And it’s awesome that on one of the coolest regular season days the Blue Jays have, Springer made sure to send everyone home in the best of spirits.
