Blue Jays’ Addison Barger doesn’t change a thing about couch sleeping arrangement before World Series Game 2

No one is more superstitious than baseball players.

Addison Barger certainly buys into that theory. How could you not after hitting a pinch-hit grand slam to help win Game 1 of the World Series for the Toronto Blue Jays?

Barger has applied it to his sleeping arrangements.

Before Game 1, he slept on teammate Davis Schneider’s couch.

So overnight into Saturday before Game 2, Barger did it again.

“It’s a pullout, yeah,” Schneider told reporters, explaining that family plans impacted Barger’s sleeping setup. “But it was squeaking all night. Yeah, it was so funny. I looked over and I just see him sleeping there in the middle of the night. He’s a headcase, but he’s fun.”

Schneider’s sister took to X on Saturday to point out that the couch sleeping was being run back.

Barger is one of many fantastic stories on the Blue Jays.

He was a skinny dude when Toronto drafted him, then used the COVID season to put on a lot of muscle. He has since earned the nickname “Bam Bam” for his strength.

Barger now has one of the top exit velocities in baseball.

And he showed that off on the biggest stage, after a night sleeping on a couch. Safe to say his sleep after the grand slam was one of the most appreciated he’s ever had, despite the arrangements.
