Bills vs. Ravens final score, results: Josh Allen leads 15-point comeback to stun Lamar Jackson, Baltimore

JUMP TO:

Week 1 of the NFL season began with a bang.

In what turned out to be an instant classic, the Bills came back from down 15 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Ravens 41-40 and start the season 1-0.

It appeared as though Baltimore was going to blow out the Bills, as Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry were running all over Buffalo. Henry had multiple big runs on the night, while Jackson used his arms and legs to dice up the Bills defense.

However, Josh Allen wouldn’t let the Bills die. The reigning NFL MVP kept Buffalo in the game with several magical plays, including two throws at the end of the half that allowed the Bills to steal three points.

Baltimore was up 40-25 in the fourth quarter, and it appeard that they would cruise to a win. That changed when the Bills scored a touchdown to make the deficit eight points, then Henry fumbled in Ravens territory to set up the Bills for another score.

Buffalo ended up getting the ball back with 90 seconds left down two points, and Allen got his team into field goal range with ease. That allowed new kicker Matt Prater, who just signed with the team, to score the game-winning field goal.

The win gives Buffalo a key advantage over Baltimore as the two teams vie for AFC supremacy. The Bills now own the tiebreaker in case they are tied in the standings at the end of the season.

The Sporting News tracked live scores, updates and highlights from “Sunday Night Football” between the Bills and Ravens. Here’s what happened.
