Cincinnati Bengals superstar Joe Burrow can do a lot of things on the football field, but when it comes to baseball, he probably won’t be stepping on an MLB mound anytime soon.
Burrow actually played baseball when he was younger but stopped when he entered high school to focus on football and basketball. Safe to say, that decision worked out for him.
Burrow has shown he still has some baseball skills after he hit home runs while taking part in batting practice with the Cincinnati Reds, but he recently showed pitching is not his strong suit.
The Bengals quarterback was in attendance at a Fanatics event on Saturday and took part in the baseball segment of the event’s games. However, he struggled mightily with hitting his target while pitching.

Don’t quit your day job, Joe.
Despite the lackluster showing, many fans understood why he struggled.
“(Throwing) a baseball is much harder than a football,” one reply said.
“He’s out throwing a baseball like it’s a football,” another commenter added. “Pretty hilarious to watch it’s almost like throwing a football is so ingrained in him he can’t stop.”
“Now give him a football,” one fan said.
Luckily, Burrow is one heck of a football player, so he doesn’t have to worry about expanding to other sports.
The former No. 1 overall pick had an MVP-caliber year in 2024, but his bid for the award was spoiled because of the Bengals’ failure to make the playoffs.
Burrow and Co. will look to turn things around in 2025, and if they do, Burrow could notch his first MVP award.
