The Cincinnati Bengals have a new slogan ahead of the 2025 season, and it includes a slang word 90s and early 2000s kids know well.
The new slogan: “A Bengal is P.H.A.T.”
The “P” stands for “Physical,” the “H” stands for “Hungry,” the “A” stands for “Accountable,” and the “T” stands for “teammate.”
Of course, “phat” is a well-known slang word that became popularized in the 1990s and early 2000s, but it isn’t hanging around much in this day and age.
The slang word actually shows up in the Merriam-Webster dictionary and is defined as “high attractive or gratifying.”

This would have been so awesome like 30 years ago.
Now, all you can do is roll your eyes and shake your head. Leave it to the Bengals to arrive at the party well after everyone has left.
It isn’t clear who came up with the new slogan that brings back the old-school slang word. We’d love to hear how Bengals players really feel about it, though.
