Bears safety Jaquan Brisker took to social media to air out his thoughts on the team’s past struggles, and make a promise of better times to come.
“I promise to come back better than ever! Your unwavering support means everything to me in these challenging times,” Brisker wrote on X formerly known as Twitter. “From the heart, I appreciate each and every one of my fans, your prayers, and your messages. We didn’t finish strong, and I say it’s all my fault… I wish I could have fought alongside my team to WIN—that’s my true passion and purpose. I will rise from this and come back and take what’s mine! Year 4 will be special; it will be a testament to our strength and resilience. Until I return, remember: there are No Comparisons.”
The Bears have had all types of troubles in the past, but with the influence of new head coach Ben Johnson, better times may be ahead at Halas Hall.
Brisker was drafted in the second round of the 2022 draft out of Penn State and has been terrific when he’s been able to stay on the field. The safety sustained a concussion during a game against the Carolina Panthers on October 6, 2023.
In return, Bears fans have commented in support of their emerging star.
“Can’t wait to see you back on the field soon, Brisker! Glad you’re back to full strength!” One X user wrote.
