Devin Hester Jr. returned a kickoff 75 yards on Saturday for Furman.
Sounds about right, doesn’t it?
But you’re not going to believe this: He isn’t the son of Chicago Bears legend and Hall of Famer, Devin Hester.

According to @SickosCommittee, the Hall of Famer’s full name is Devin Devorris Hester Sr. And Furman’s returner man is Devin Rashaad Hester, Jr.

The most common reply to this video: “Dad would’ve scored.”

It ended up being quite the day for Furman, which rallied from down 21-17 at the end of the third quarter to win 23-21. The Paladins then needed a fourth-down stop with 1:56 left to secure the victory.
It’s Hester Jr.’s second season at Furman. Last year, he caught 16 passes.
And he’s off to quite the start to the 2025 season, with some added notoriety for his wildly coincidental name.
