Bayern Munich are looking to bring in reinforcements in the summer transfer window. It will be a busy period for manager Vincent Kompany as he aims to revamp the team.
Earlier reports from Fabrizio Romano suggested that the German giants are keen to add a backup striker alongside Harry Kane, who has taken on the goalscoring responsibilities with aplomb.
As per reports on German outlet Fussballtransfers.com, Bayern have shortlisted Genk forward Toku Arokodare as a backup for the England skipper.
Reports suggest that the club have begun initial talks about the player moving to Germany in a deputy role. The 24-year-old may cost Bayern in the region of €25 million transfer (£21m) fee this summer.
The Germans are desperately looking to land a prolific yet affordable player who can slot in for Kane and produce a decent level of output.
Arokodare’s recent form in the Belgian Pro League has attracted interest from all over Europe. He fits the requirements needed in Kompany’s setup and can be a viable option as backup.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form in front of the goal, and his goals have helped Genk finish at the top of the league table in the regular season as they aim for a potential league title.
During his time at Latvian club Valmeira, the Nigerian striker joined FC Koln on loan and played 10 Bundesliga games in the 2020/21 campaign, but was unable to make much of an impact.
However, his numbers improved when he was loaned out to Amiens in Ligue 1 and later joined Genk in January 2023..
His exceptional form also saw him make his international debut for Nigeria in a 2-0 win over Rwanda on March 21 in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Arokodare came on as a substitute for Victor Osimhen in the 77th minute.
