Bayern Munich have been keen on acquiring Liverpool star Luis Diaz’s signature in this ongoing summer transfer window.
The Bundesliga giants’ reported strong interest in Diaz comes with the departures of Leroy Sane, Mathys Tel, and Thomas Muller. Jamal Musiala’s recent injury in the Club World Cup made the Colombian winger’s signing a bigger priority for Bayern.
Several reports have suggested that Bayern have already submitted multiple bids for Diaz, which were rejected as they did not match Liverpool’s asking price in the range of €80-85 million.
The German club are reportedly set to make an improved bid for Diaz, who is open to a move to Allianz Arena.
Bayern have also identified Lyon winger Malick Fofana as an alternative and made an enquiry to learn the terms of his deal in case they fail to secure the Liverpool star’s signing, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Lyon has estimated Fofana at around €60m, with his current contract at the French club being valid until the summer of 2028, as reported by OneFootball.
The Belgian young talent’s price tag is anticipated not to be a problem for Bayern, who have set a reported budget of €100m for new signings.
