Barcelona may loan out summer signing due to registration issues

Barcelona and registration issues seem to be a common theme over the last couple of summers still suffering the effects of the pandemic.

Once again, Barcelona are scrambling to register players despite it being two match weeks into the season.

It’s likely they eventually manage to register Gerard Martin and Wojciech Szczesny with the departures of Oriol Romeu and Iñaki Peña. It seems though, that they are struggling to find the manner to register one of their summer signings.

Roony Bardghji

Roony Bardghji arrived at Barcelona from Copenhagen this summer for a fee estimated to be around 2 million euros.

The talented 19 year old burst on the scene when he starred in a Champions League match against Manchester United at the age of 17. He tore his ACL which slowed down the hype but Barcelona saw the opportunity to sign him and took it as they believe in the talent of the youngster.

It seemed like a dream move for Roony and a great market signing for the club, but now it seems like Barcelona can’t find the way to register him.

Barcelona could register him for the B team but seem to either not have the space for that either or are reluctant to infuriate La Liga by using a loophole.

Now, according to Sport, Copenhagen are sniffing around to see if Barcelona would be open to a loan deal to send the youngster back and help Barcelona’s registration issues.

The problem with this is that Barca still have to register Roony first to then be able to loan him out. It would provide relief for Barca because they would register him and free up the space created by loaning him out, but it seems pretty redundant to do that.

It’s unlikely that Roony goes out on loan, but it’s concerning that rumors like this have emerged because of Barca’s continuous registration struggles
