2025 tennis season will kick into high gear as the year’s first Grand Slam, the Australian Open, begins in Melbourne on Sunday.
Aryna Sabalenka is chasing a third straight Australian Open crown—a feat no woman has accomplished since Martina Hingis in 1999.
However, the World No 1 won’t have it easy. The Belarusian will open her title defence against former Grand Slam champion Sloane Stephens. Last year’s finalist Zheng Qinwen and 2024 WTA Finals champion Coco Gauff are also in her half of the draw.
