Paredes has had a fantastic year with the Astros after being traded from the Chicago Cubs to Houston for All-Star Kyle Tucker. Paredes is slashing a .255/.358/.471 with nineteen homeruns, forty-nine RBIs, and forty-seven walks. Paredes has also been playing gold glove-level defense, being a key factor in the Astros’ strong first half start to the season. Paredes has been known as the “Crawford Box” guy in Houston, due to his strong pull-hitting tendencies.
Paredes joins pitcher Hunter Brown, closer Josh Hader, and shortstop Jeremy Pena, who will not play due to injury, as the four Astros to be named All-Stars!
