Astros receive good news surrounding the return of Yordan Alvarez

The Houston Astros have had a rough 2025, despite still finding themselves atop the AL West standings, as injuries have run rampant in the clubhouse, especially as of late.

The one that perhaps kickstarted the injury troubles was that of designated hitter Yordan Alvarez, who suffered what turned out to be a broken hand in the beginning of May.

But seems that those issues, at least for Alvarez, could come to an end soon.

Alvarez Due Back To Houston Soon?

The All-Star slugger could rejoin the Space City team as soon as Tuesday, after a successful rehab assignment last Tuesday, according to Matt Kawahara of The Houston Chronicle.

Adding Alvarez back to their lineup would without a doubt be a positive for the team, especially from the left side of the batter’s box, even though Alvarez had taken a step back in production, only smashing three home runs in the one month that he had played in for 2025.

Though there are still plenty of other players on the shelf for the ‘Stros, getting at least one player back, especially one of Alvarez’s caliber, could be monumental for the team as they gear up for a postseason run.
