Ashton Jeanty stats: Raiders rookie stuffed in disappointing preseason debut

The Las Vegas Raiders took the field for their first preseason game versus the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, and running back Ashton Jeanty got his first taste of NFL action.

The No.6 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft has been standing out at training camp and is expected to be a major upgrade at running back for a Raiders’ squad that had an incredibly inefficient rushing attack in 2024.

Though Jeanty has a ton of promise as a potential Day 1 difference-maker, the Boise State product didn’t have much success in his preseason debut versus the Seahawks.

Ashton Jeanty preseason Week 1 stats

Attempts 3
Yards -1
Yards per Attempt -0.3
Touchdowns 0
Fumbles 0
Receptions 0
Longest Rush 3

Jeanty struggled to find any breathing room in the running game and didn’t get any action in the receiving game. The 21-year-old played just two offensive series, so he didn’t receive many opportunities to make an impact.

Though Jeanty was underwhelming in his first NFL snaps, there shouldn’t be any panic. The 2024 Heisman candidate wasn’t getting much help from his offensive line, and his ability to evade defenders was still on display.

The Raiders will travel back to Allegiant Stadium to square off against the San Francisco 49ers next Saturday. We’ll see if Jeanty can bounce back and gain some momentum then.
