Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has already teased fans with the promise of a massive summer transfer window incoming for the Gunners.
The North London giants are actively focusing in improving their attacking options for 2025/26, an area where they have struggled this season, as their Premier League title challenge has faltered.
The Gunners have shortlisted multiple transfer targets throughout the season and one name who remains high on their list is Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman. The France international is set to leave Bavaria this summer and Arsenal have emerged as a potential destination for the flying winger.
As per reports from Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal are in regular contact with his entourage as part of their push to bring him to the Emirates.
Arteta is aware of noise from the Saudi Pro League, over a possible offer, but the Spanish coach is looking to move quickly to get a deal wrapped up before preseason starts.
Bayern Munich understand Coman’s situation and expect him to move on, with the sale funds reinvested by Vincent Kompany, as part of his squad rebuild in Bavaria.

Kingsley Coman: Europe’s stat king
Coman joined Bayern Munich in 2015 from Juventus as part of a loan deal for two seasons. The Frenchman impressed in that period and they opted to activate his purchase clause in 2017.
Since then, Coman been an invaluable player at the club, winning eight Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokals and a coveted UEFA Champions League crown in 2019/20. Interestingly, it was Coman who scored the winning goal in the final against PSG to lift the iconic trophy..
In 329 appearances for Bayern Munich, the 28-year-old has netted 69 goals in his 10 years in Bavaria.
Despite winning so many team accolades, the primary roadblock in Coman’s career has to be regular injury issues and Arsenal will look for assurances on that before agreeing to a deal.
However, his wider on-pitch metrics make for eye-catching reading, with some Europe-leading numbers for a host of key attacking areas.
As per FBref, he averages 0.86 goal-creating actions per 90 Bundesliga minutes, placing him in ninth position in this metric among the players in Europe’s top five leagues. He also ranks fourth in Europe’s top five leagues this season for a shot-creating actions, at a rate of 6.34 per 90.
The statistics underline the reasons for Arsenal’s interest, who can slot in on either flank with aplomb, if Arteta can keep him injury free.
