
Arsenal have secured their spot 2025/26 UEFA Champions League as Mikel Arteta faces a key campaign in North London.
The Gunners have invested heavily in their squad once again with Arteta securing deals to bring Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze to the Emirates Stadium.
Arteta is under pressure, after three successive second-place finishes in the Premier League, after coming in behind champions Liverpool in 2024/25.
Arsenal reached the UCL semifinals in 2024/25, before losing out to eventual winners PSG, with defeats in London and Paris.
The club’s sole appearance in the UCL final came back in 2006 as Arsene Wenger’s team lost 2-1 to Barcelona.

Arsenal Champions League first phase opponents
The league phase draw was held on Aug. 28, 2025 with Arsenal’s first eight games now confirmed.
As per the updated format – now into it’s second season – the Gunners will play eight games against eight different opponents with four matches at home and four away.
The top eight sides in the overall league phase will qualify directly for the Round of 16 knockouts, with teams placed 9th to 24th entering the playoffs.
