What did Gyokeres say about his future?
After the win over, Gyokeres also faced questions about his future and he remained tight lipped on the situation. “Let’s see. It’s hard for me to say, because it’s football and you never know what’s going to happen in the summer. For me to say anything else, is impossible,” he told reporters.
Speaking on Arsenal links, Gyokeres said, “I don’t know, I just focus on this. I’ve tried to focus on the last games because it’s so important and I don’t want to think about anything else. If anything is true, let’s see in the summer.”
As per reports from the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are pole position to land Gyokeres, if they are ready to match Sporting’s £60m [$81m] asking price. The Gunners may also have to pay out a whopping £200,000 [$270,000]-a-week in wages to secure his signature.
Manchester United are also monitoring Gyokeres, but after missing out UEFA Champions League football for next season, it’s unlikely he will pick them over other options.
