Arsenal continue to make noises in the transfer market, systematically focusing on making reinforcements for both the senior team and the youth level.
While they have made some significant transfers to the senior side, they are also working hard to scout talented players for their youth team, led by former player Per Mertesacker.
Mertesacker, who is responsible for the youth team, has reportedly been given a set transfer budget to scout and sign talented players.
Recent updates via The Sun suggest that the Gunners are all set to secure the services of Salford City youngster Will Wright
Liverpool were leading the race for the 17-year-old forward until the last few days, but Arsenal’s final bid of £250,000 ($335k) plus major add-ons helped them secure the player.
Meanwhile, the Reds only managed to offer a £100,000 ($134k) plus add-ons deal for the highly rated forward who has appeared in four League Two appearances for Salford.

That includes a brace against FC United of Manchester in a 2-2 draw.
He has scored over 50 goals for the youth team before eventually making his senior team debut against Manchester City in an FA Cup clash in January.
Wright became one of the youngest players to debut for Salford City, and after making his debut, he also featured in two League Two games against Port Vale and Bradford.
Standing at 6ft 3in, Wright has the physicality and the goal-scoring instinct to succeed at the youth level.
It will be interesting to follow his growth and development as he embarks on a new journey in North London under the tutelage of Mertesacker.
