It is an open secret that Arsenal are gearing up for a big summer transfer window with multiple incomings. They have shortlisted several players from different positions and will gradually push to secure their signatures.
The two areas that the Gunners are desperately looking to reinforces is their left wing and a striker. Mikel Arteta believe that his team lost the Premier League crown to Liverpool because of lack of goals in this roster following injuries to a couple of their forwards.
Arsenal have mostly been linked with a strikers and left wingers. Fresh reports from The Times suggest that the North London outfit have currently added Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers and Feyenoord forward Igor Paixao to their shortlist for the summer.
Reports suggest that sporting director Andrea Berta is a big admirer of the aforementioned players and feels a move for either of them would be beneficial for the Gunners. Rogers has seen a massive rise in the last 18 months at Aston Villa.
He joined Villa in February 2023 from Middlesborough for £15m transfer fee. Since then, he has enjoyed great rise in England’s top flight. The 22-year-old is coming off a sensational season where he scored 14 goals and provided 13 assists in 54 appearances across all competitions.
Rogers is known for his guile, ability to dribble past multiple defenders and can also thread that final ball for his forwards. Predominantly an attacking midfielder but can also play on the flank, he also has the physical capacity to retain possession in tight spaces.

Who is Igor Paixao?
While Rogers is known to the Arsenal fans as they have seen him in the Premier League this season, Feyenoord forward Paixao is someone who has attracted attention from all over the globe with his stellar performances in the 2024/25 campaign.

Hailing from Brazil, he has that natural panache you’d expect, but he is also known for his clean ball-striking and ability to use both feet with aplomb. Paixao had a breakthrough year for Feyenoord as he stepped up with 18 goals and 14 assists from 45 matches across all competitions.
Paixao’s exceptional performances for Feyenoord saw him become the Eredivisie Player of the Year and several clubs have lined up to secure his signature. Arsenal are also one of the teams interested in the 23-year-old.
These two players have been added to the shortlist to save up some funds. Arsenal were previously linked with Nico Williams and Leroy Sane. While Williams would require an eye-watering transfer fee, Sane would demand for big wages despite being a free agent. Hence, they are looking at alternatives.
