Anthony Davis has a bumpy injury history.
It just added a chapter on Wednesday night for the Dallas Mavericks.
Taking on the Indiana Pacers, Davis left the game in the first quarter.
“Anthony Davis just came up gingerly after scoring and asked out,” wrote ESPN’s Tim MacMahon on X. “Crouched down on the sideline during the timeout.”

Davis soon headed to the locker room for what MacMahon termed “further evaluation.”
The Mavericks announced Davis is questionable to return with left lower leg soreness.
The Mavs are already playing without Kyrie Irving, who is out until some time in 2026 with a knee injury.
So far this season, Davis has played four games. He entered Wednesday averaging 25.0 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
Davis is 32 years old and is in his first full season with the Mavs after being acquired in the Luka Doncic trade.
Doncic is currently out for the Lakers, and now Davis is hurt for the Mavs.
The Mavericks will soon be moving fully into the Cooper Flagg Era, but they probably wanted the vets to stick around for a while still.
They can likely win a lot of games if Davis, Irving and Flagg are all on the floor at the same time.
But it appears the odds of that are decreasing. It was a somewhat predictable outcome, and if Davis has to miss time, Flagg will have to grow up in a hurry.
