Last night in the Europa League, Sean Dyche did what Ange Postecoglou failed to do at Nottingham Forest – win a game.
Dyche’s side defeated FC Porto 2-0 in his first game in charge of Forest. Postecoglou did not manage a victory in any of his eight games in charge of the club.
Postecoglou’s stock was high when he joined Forest as he had just won the Europa League with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Australian ended Spurs’ 17-year trophy drought, albeit with the club performing disastrously in the Premier League last season, as they finished 17th.
Postecoglou managed a host of different teams before heading to the Premier League. This included various clubs in Australia, their national team, Celtic, and Yokohama F. Marinos.
To rebuild his reputation, Postecoglou could return to one of his old stomping grounds.

According to Football Insider, “Postecoglou would seriously consider a sensational return to Celtic if the opportunity arose.”
Would Celtic take a chance on Ange Postecoglou again?
Postecoglou had great success at Celtic, where he won the Scottish Premiership twice, and the Hoops have brought back their former managers in the past.
Brendan Rodgers left Celtic for Leicester City in 2019, but returned in 2023. The team from Scotland could do the same for Postecoglou as Rodgers’ contract expires at the end of the season.
Rodgers has won the Scottish Premiership four times across both his spells at Celtic. However, they currently trail the division unexpectedly to Heart of Midlothian.
