Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is maintaining his gritty resilience over their mixed form at the end of 2024.
Spurs slipped to a 1-0 defeat at high-flying Nottingham Forest on December 26 as Anthony Elanga’s first-half goal was enough to secure victory for the hosts as they move into third place in the EPL rankings.
Postecoglou finds himself under growing pressure, with just one EPL win in his last six games as Spurs boss, with the Australian facing a tense start to 2025.

Some Spurs fans are looking beginning to lose patience with the former Celtic chief stubbornly sticking to his attacking style despite their poor form.
A loss at the City Ground means successive defeats for Postecoglou, following their 6-3 hammering at home to Liverpool last weekend, and they end 2024 at home to Wolves on December 29.
Injuries have played a major role in Spurs’ struggles, with Postecoglou openly claiming his options are restricted by a lack of senior players, as he waits for the January transfer window to open.
Postecoglou was in fighting mode at full-time in Nottingham and he insisted there is little option to to battle on until the picture improves.
“It was a tight game, not much in it. With the way Forest set up, it’s never going to be too open, and not have too many chances,” via BBC Sport.
“I didn’t say we struggled with energy. I think you’re putting words in my mouth. I said we need energy, but I didn’t say we struggled with it. It was a tight game, we had some good chances. They didn’t have too many, but they got the goal, and we tried to claw it back and we couldn’t.”
Tottenham have a busy start to January, across multiple competitions, with four EPL games on the agenda, and two in the UEFA Europa League.
They also take on National League North side Tamworth in the FA Cup Third Round and Liverpool in the EFL Cup semifinals.
