Allen Iverson places this Hall of Fame Suns player amongst his top 5 NBA players ever

Many people would place legendary Philadelphia 76ers point guard Allen Iverson in their respective lists of “greatest NBA players of all time,” and certainly near the top of the list in terms of most influential.

However, the stars of the NBA are just as human as the fans are, and they are just as amazed at what their fellow stars on the court can do with their skills, and even they have their own list of who they believe is the greatest on the hardwood.

So, what “answer” did Iverson give when asked to give his all-time top five players?

Iverson Includes Shaquille O’Neal Along With Four Other Legends

In an interview with CBS Sports promoting his recent memoir Misunderstood. Iverson was quick in naming his top five, which included three Hall of Famers, and two surefire Hall of Famers.

“Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Steph Curry, Shaquille O’Neal,” Iverson revealed.

Iverson including Kobe and Shaq goes to show the personal respect that Iverson holds for the two icons, whose Lakers beat Iverson’s 76ers in the 2001 NBA Finals, which ended up being “The Answer’s” only trip to the championship game in the midst of his NBA MVP season.

O’Neal spent a year and a half with the Suns from 2008-09, playing alongside stars such as Hall of Fame point guard Steve Nash, as well as Jason Richardson, Grant Hill, and Amare Stoudemire.

After O’Neal left Phoenix, he would spend a season with the Cavaliers with a young star in LeBron James, before heading to the Boston Celtics the next year before retiring in 2011 after a 20-year NBA career, which resulted in a Basketball Hall of Fame induction for O’Neal in 2016.
