Aaron Judge is off to the best power-hitting start in baseball history.
That’s not an exaggeration.
On Friday night, the New York Yankees superstar slugged another home run, his sixth of the season.
The blast put Judge up to 17 RBI on the 2025 season, too.
And given that the Yankees have played just seven games, that’s a better combination than anyone in MLB history. No player has had 6-17 in their first seven games, ever, before Judge, according to the YES Network.
How many home runs does Aaron Judge have?
Aaron Judge has hit six home runs this season, through Friday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
That includes a three homer game on March 29, which tied his single-game career-high.

Aaron Judge home run pace
If Judge hits six home runs every seven games the rest of the season, he’d end up with 139 home runs.
Almost certainly, he won’t do that.
But the current MLB record is Barry Bonds’ 73 home runs in 2001. Judge would need to only maintain half of this pace to get there.
Judge holds the AL record at 62 home runs, and he’s also got a chance to chase that mark.
Aaron Judge career home runs
After Friday night’s blast, Aaron Judge has 321 career home runs. It’s the most home runs ever by a player in his first 1,000 career games.
Judge will turn 33 years old on April 26, so it’s unlikely he can catch the all-time career leaders.
He’s disadvantaged in that regard because he didn’t get to the majors until 24 years old after a college career at Fresno State.
Judge has a strong chance to reach 500 career homers if he remains healthy.
