One of two coaches the Detroit Lions could lose during the 2025 offseason, defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is expected to draw plenty of interest from teams in search of their next head coach.
Of course, along with Glenn, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is going to draw plenty of interest, also. In fact, Johnson might be the hottest name on the market, something that has been true for a few years now.
Glenn’s tenure in Detroit got off to a rough start, but he has turned things around in a big way in 2024. One of the biggest problems for Glenn was the Lions lacking sufficient talent at key positions.
Thankfully, general manager Brad Holmes did a great job of shoring up that issue this past offseason, and Glenn has taken care of the rest.
Making Glenn’s performance even more impressive is the fact that Detroit has lost a ton of key players on defense because of injuries, yet the unit has not fallen apart. And, Glenn boosted his candidacy even more on Sunday night, when the Lions’ defense put the clamps on Sam Darnold and Co. in a crucial game.
