Nicholas Jackson has made numerous high-profile errors during his time at Chelsea, and now they could be set to alter the course of his career at the club.
The Senegalese striker was sent off for a reckless tackle on Sven Botman of Newcastle United towards the end of the Premier League season and missed the last two games of Chelsea’s season.
More recently, he was guilty of another reckless challenge against Flamengo that earned him another red card in the Club World Cup.
Now, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca seems to have had enough of his indiscipline and seems to have made a decision on the player’s future at the club.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the manager has decided he will not be relying on the striker as a key part of his plans at the club.
He said, “Nicolas Jackson is no longer central in Enzo Maresca’s plans, and he could leave Chelsea in the summer transfer window.”

Why it could be the end of the road for Jackson at Chelsea
After Jackson found appearances easy to come by in Maresca’s first season at the club, it looks as if the manager has his eyes on another solution in the form of Delap.
Now, though, with it looking as if Jackson is the number two, he will likely not be content with his role.
More importantly, Chelsea have also been linked to other strikers in the ongoing summer transfer window, with the likes of Hugo Ekitike being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
If the rumours are to be believed, it’s only a matter of time before Chelsea add another striker to their squad, and that could be the end of the road for Jackson at Chelsea.
