We righted the ship yesterday in the MLB player props market with a perfect 2-0 card. Wednesday marks another full 15-game slate for us to target, and the friendly confines of Coors Field is a great place to start.
That’s where the Rockies will host the Dodgers, after the two teams combined to put up 16 runs on Tuesday. Colorado is sending rookie Chase Dollander to the mound, who boasts some of the most severe home/road splits you’ll find. Below, we explain out favorite MLB betting picks for Wednesday night.
MLB Player Prop Pick #1: Dollander Over 3.5 Earned Runs (-115 at Bet365)
Dollander enters play with a 9.58 ERA across five home starts. He’s surrendered 31 hits and 25 runs in only 20.2 innings, yielding eight homers and a .341 opponent batting average. Let’s contrast that with his seven road starts. In those outings, he’s limited the opposition to a .214 batting average. His home run rate and WHIP are still sky-high, and that would be an issue no matter where he faced LA.
Dollander has also seen a major decline in strikeout production over the last month, while his walk rate has been on the rise. He’s averaging just five K’s per nine innings over his last four starts, and 3.5 walks.
As for the Dodgers, they’ve continued the torrid pace they set during their championship run in 2024. They lead MLB in runs per game, as well as hits, home runs, slugging percentage and OPS. LA has hit both righties and lefties hard this season, but their power output dramatically increases against right-handers like Dollander. They’ve smacked 57 more home runs against righties than lefties, and have scored 229 more runs.
MLB Player Prop Pick #2: Misiorowski Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-130 at Bet365)
Perhaps we were a little quick to dismiss Jacob Misiorowski last week. All the rookie has done since being called up is allow one run over 11 innings, striking out 11 batters along the way. If there’s a concern, it’s his walk rate, but that’s something he’s dealt with throughout his entire tenure as a professional.
Misiorowski was an elite strikeout producer at the minor league level, and so far he’s carried over that success to the Brewers. He’s produced a 13.2% swing and miss rate, while all four of his primary offerings grade out as positive pitches.
His fastball gets up over 99 miles per hour, which makes off-speed pitches absolutely devastating. The icing on the cake when it comes to targeting him today is the matchup. Misiorowski will face a Pirates lineup that strikes out at baseball’s fourth highest rate. They rank bottom-five in runs per game, average, hits, slugging and OPS, and are fresh off whiffing 11 times in a blowout loss to Milwaukee on Tuesday.
