Juventus vs. Man City lineups, team news, score prediction: Echeverri to miss battle for top spot in Club World Cup Group G

Manchester City and Juventus meet in Orlando for the right to call themselves Group G winners at the FIFA Club World Cup.

Victories over Wydad AC and Al Ain in their first two matches have already ensured the Premier League and Serie A powerhouses will take part in the knockout stages.

The incentive to finish top of the pile comes from the fact that Real Madrid are favourites to top Group H and take on the Group G runners-up in the Round of 16.

To avoid another meeting with their frequent UEFA Champions League foes, City must beat Juventus. If the match is a draw, then the Turin outfit will advance as group winners on goals scored.

Pep Guardiola changed his whole starting XI from the team that started the competition against Wydad to the one that beat Al Ain 6-0. Here, we should get a greater indication of what his current first-choice lineup looks like.

Claudio Echeverri marked his full debut with a superb free-kick goal against Al Ain, but the Argentine youngster was substituted at halftime with an ankle injury and was spotted on crutches at City’s Boca Raton training base.

FIFA has confirmed Rico Lewis must serve a three-match ban following his red card against Wydad, so he will not feature again unless City reach the semifinals.

Rodri has appeared as a substitute in both of City’s matches as he continues to build his fitness following an ACL layoff. Bench duty is again the most likely role for the Ballon d’Or winner.

Man City predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Ederson (GK) — Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, Ait-Nouri — Reijnders, Silva — Foden, Cherki, Marmoush — Haaland
