There isn’t any better company for an NBA Finals role player to keep than Robert Horry.
Horry won seven NBA championships, and he earned the nickname “Big Shot Bob.”
Pacers forward Obi Toppin is now a part of an exclusive list with Horry.
They’re the only two players to score 70 points, grab 30 rebounds and make 12 3-pointers off the bench in a single NBA Finals.

It’s an incredible moment in Toppin’s career.
He once had an argument as the best college basketball player in the country when he was at Dayton, but he never had a chance to shine in the NCAA Tournament due to COVID-19.
With the Knicks, Toppin showed flashes of his potential but never fully broke through.
Now, all Toppin can do is make the most of the minutes that Rick Carlisle gives him.
In these Finals, that’s been exactly what the high-flying, sharp-shooting Toppin has done.
And in large part because of Toppin, the Pacers are still alive and heading to a Game 7, where he’ll get the chance to start working on a “Big Shot Obi” nickname.
