The Kansas City Chiefs are leaving no stone left unturned. This week at minicamp, they hosted some tryout players.
And after the conclusion of minicamp, the Chiefs signed two of those tryout guys to their offseason roster.
The newest Chiefs are a center, Joey Lombard, and a tight end with a fantastic name, Geor’Quarius Spivey.
Lombard was a college star at the FCS level for South Dakota. He started 48 games, and he was a second-team All-American in 2024.
Spivey most recently played in the UFL for the Houston Roughnecks.
Before that, Spivey was with the Chiefs during the 2024 preseason and had one catch in the preseason before failing to make the roster.

Spivey split his college career between Mississippi State and TCU.
In his final college season with the Horned Frogs, Spivey played 15 games, caught 11 passes for 136 yards and scored a touchdown.
At 6-foot-5, 240 pounds, Spivey is an intriguing target and blocker, but he’s never quite put it together to stick around.
Both guys will have an uphill climb to make the roster, but if they can get on the field in the preseason, they have a chance to impress the Chiefs and all the other teams in the NFL.
