Nascar driver Denny Hamlin and his fiancée, Jordan Fish, have announced the birth of their third child.
The couple shared the exciting news in a joint Instagram post on Thursday, June 19.
Hamlin, 44, and Fish, 37, who share two other children – Taylor James, 12, and Molly Gold, 7 – named their first son Jameson Drew Hamlin.
Little Jameson weighed eight pounds, four ounces, and measured 22 and three-quarters inches in length.
“The road to meeting him wasn’t easy. But he’s home, he’s perfect, and his sisters can’t get enough of him,” the couple shared in their social media post. “Our hearts have never been so full. Introducing our son…Jameson Drew Hamlin.”
They included three photos in the birth announcement, including one of the newborn sleeping peacefully in a brown, long-sleeve onesie with a zipper.
In another photo, Fish cuddled her new son in a hospital room, while the Nascar driver smiled happily beside them.
A third picture showed the couple’s 7-year-old daughter Molly holding the newborn in a chair, while big sister Taylor stood beside them.
The baby’s birth likely came as a relief to the couple, as Fish delivered well past her due date.
On June 9, the NASCAR driver’s fiancée said she couldn’t believe she was still pregnant.
“… never did I think I would get this far. If you had asked me a month ago, I was convinced he was coming early,” Fish posted to her Instagram Stories. “But here we are, still going strong,” she added.
Hamlin, who’s a full-time driver of the No. 11 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing, elected to skip the series’ first-ever trip to Mexico City last weekend to be with his newborn son.
Ryan Truex piloted the No. 11 car in his place and finished 23rd after an eventful race.
