The champions of Europe and South America face one another on matchday two in Group B at the FIFA Club World Cup.
UEFA Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain began their campaign in the United States with a dominant 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid in Pasadena.
Botafogo travelled to Lumen Field to take on Seattle Sounders, where the Copa Libertadores holders were able to repel a late fightback from their MLS hosts and hold onto a 2-1 victory.
Another three points for either side at the Rose Bowl will all but secure their passage to the Round of 16. Indeed, if there is no winner in the game between Atleti and Seattle earlier on Thursday, then a winner between PSG and Botafogo would go through with a match to spare.

PSG vs. Botafogo lineups, confirmed starting 11, team news
Star forward Ousmane Dembele continues to train alone and is seemingly not yet ready to return to action for PSG.
Bradley Barcola also sat out the first match due to knee discomfort but should return to the matchday squad
Luis Enrique could name an unchanged side from the XI that beat Atleti, especially given their return to the Rose Bowl will not be underneath searing midday heat.
That would mean Goncalo Ramos continuing at centre-forward before significant rotations in the final group game, when Barcola and Dembele should be more ready for action

Injured: Dembele, Barcola (doubt)
Suspended: None.

PSG vs. Botafogo score prediction
While Botafogo’s capabilities should be underplayed, their most likely European scalp is Atletico Madrid in their final Group B match. In their current form, it is hard to look beyond a young PSG side brimming with confidence getting the win and doing so in style.
Prediction: PSG 4-0 Botafogo
