The NBA offseason has already begun for most of the league, including Knicks forward Josh Hart, who appears to be working on his golf game during the break.
The Villanova product hit the links and shared to X that he drove a shot 298 yards into the fairway using his mini driver. The X account, Nets Insider, later quote-tweeted Hart’s post, mocking the Knicks’ recent playoff elimination.
“Death, taxes and the Knicks golfing in June!” the account wrote. “MSG: The World’s Emptiest Arena.”
The jab came more than two weeks after the Knicks were eliminated by the Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals, falling 4-2 in the series. Despite the loss, it marked New York’s deepest playoff run since 2000. In comparison, the Nets have not reached the playoffs since the 2022-23 campaign and were swept in the first round in each of their last two postseason appearances.
Hart clapped back at the user with receipts, boasting about his success against the Nets since joining the Knicks in 2023.
“That’s a good one,” Hart replied. “Now google my record against yall since I became a Knick.”

The answer to that Google search? A perfect 9-0 record in two-plus seasons with New York. The 30-year-old forward has been productive in those matchups, averaging 11.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 53.5 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from beyond the arc.
While Hart is likely to continue working on his swing this summer, the Nets will look to improve on a 12th-place finish in 2024-25, when they ended the season with a 26-56 record.
