The most anticipated FIFA Club World Cup has returned in a revamped edition, where the top club teams will be battling it out for the esteemed glory in the USA beginning June 14.
This year’s FIFA Club World Cup will see the tournament expanding from its traditional format of seven teams to 32 teams participating from six different confederations.
The tournament will see 32 teams competing in the tournament for the prestigious title. The teams have been divided into eight groups, each consisting of four teams. The top two teams from each group with maximum points will advance to the round of 16. Following this, the teams will compete in a knockout stage.
Manchester City, who won their first-ever FIFA Club World Cup title by beating Fluminense FC in the finals in 2023, will be aiming to defend their crown. However, they are not the single contender this time, as European giants like Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and Chelsea will be in the race.
With the tournament being competitive this time, the underdog teams will be looking to etch their names in history by breaking the dominance of top footballing giants.
