Tottenham Hotspur are eager to start a new era under their new manager Thomas Frank. After finishing 17th in the Premier League last season, they expect the Danish tactician to turn things around in the upcoming campaign.
Frank did wonders with Brentford ever since they moved up to the English top flight. He worked individually with players and helped them improve at a much higher level.
Therefore, he has his preferences, and now Tottenham are pushing for players according to Frank’s demands in the summer transfer window. Recent reports via CaughtOffside suggest that Spurs are plotting a move for Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard.
Tottenham are desperate to reunite the 31-year-old midfielder with Frank in North London. Norgaard is experienced, and if the deal happens, he would provide solidity in the middle and also leadership in the dressing room.
He was reportedly one of the mainstays for Frank at Brentford, and therefore, the Danish tactician has his name at the top of his wishlist.
After a season of struggle, Tottenham need someone who would bring leadership and inspiration to the youngsters, and Norgaard is such a player. His familiarity with Frank and his tactical discipline would majorly benefit the Lilywhites.

What is Norgaard’s contract situation with Brentford?
Norgaard’s current contract with Brentford runs until 2027, and he is already 31, so this is probably the last opportunity for the Bees to earn a decent amount from his sales.

However, as per reports, Tottenham are preparing a bid in the region of £17–20 million for the Denmark international. However, Brentford reportedly hold Norgaard as untouchable because of his importance to their squad on and off the pitch.
There’s a popular belief that Brentford are looking to drive up the price for the 31-year-old as clubs like Fulham, Everton and Bournemouth are also monitoring his situation.
This could be a great addition to the Spurs roster as Norgaard may not be the most flashy player, but his ability to dictate the tempo from the middle of the park, coupled with his intelligence and leadership, makes him an ideal player in Frank’s system.
Norgaard joined Brentford in 2019 and has seen the club fight in the Championship before moving up to the Premier League. He has featured in 196 appearances for Brentford, scoring 13 goals.
