Ravens could pursue $54 million former Pro Bowl edge rusher ahead of 2025 NFL season

The Baltimore Ravens could use an additional pass rusher heading into the 2025 campaign.

Odafe Oweh, Kyle Van Noy, and Nnamdi Madubuike provide solid pass-rushing production for Baltimore, and rookie Mike Green could also develop into a difference-maker.

However, legitimate contenders can never have too many capable pass rushers, so general manager Eric DeCosta should look to add another piece to the unit before September.

One avenue the Ravens could take to upgrade the defensive line is to pursue a reunion with edge rusher Matt Judon, who is still on the free agency market. Last Word on Sports’ Anthony Palacios believes it’s a possibility.

“However, no one should rule out the idea of a reunion, as Judon isn’t shutting the door on that. Between Odafe Oweh, Kyle Van Noy, Roquan Smith and Trenton Simpson, Judon could complete this package to add more firepower,” Palacios wrote.

Judon had a down year in 2024, as he posted just 5.5 sacks and 25 quarterback pressures with the Atlanta Falcons. He is no longer a high-level starting edge rusher, but the veteran can still play a valuable rotational role.

Signing Judon, who had a 15.5 sack season with the New England Patriots in 2022, to a cheap deal to serve as a quality depth in Zach Orr’s defense would be a logical move from a Ravens team that is looking to get over the hump and finally win a Super Bowl in the Lamar Jackson Era in 2025.
