Tyrese Haliburton has had an up-and-down NBA Finals so far.
Critics have questioned whether or not he’s a superstar, but I think his Game 3 performance has put that to rest, at least for now.
One part of his game that hasn’t been discussed much, is how he hasn’t recorded a single attempt in this one stat category all series.

What stat has Haliburton not recorded in the 2025 NBA Finals?
Through three games of the NBA Finals this year, Haliburton hasn’t taken a free throw attempt.
Haliburton hasn’t looked to score a ton this series as the average star would, with 43 FGA through three games (14.3 FGA per game).
More than half of those FGA have been from three-point range, but Haliburton still takes a decent amount of inside looks.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is often criticized for his foul-bating/volume of free throws taken a game, is averaging a series-leading 8.7 FTA.
It would be very surprising to see Haliburton get no free-throw attempts the rest of the series, with at least two more games to play.
Haliburton is currently second all-time for most points in an NBA Finals series with 0 FTA (53 points through three games).

He is two points behind Patty Mills who scored 55 points with 0 FTA through seven games in a Finals over a decade ago.
The NBA Finals resume Friday night, as the Thunder stay in Indiana for Game 4, trailing 2-1.
