Manchester United’s promising young striker Gabriele Biancheri has made it clear: he’s open to a summer exit, but only for one reason.
The 18-year-old, who lit up the academy with goals this past season, says he’s ready to go out on loan if it helps him take the next big step.
Biancheri, who joined United from Cardiff City in 2023, found the back of the net 25 times across the Under-18 and Under-21 levels.
With that kind of form, fans hoped he might be knocking on the first-team door soon. But with a packed house up front at Old Trafford, it’s more likely he’ll be loaned out for senior minutes elsewhere.
“I don’t really know the plan for next season,” Biancheri told The Athletic.
“If that’s going on loan and learning and getting experience playing men’s football, I’ll take it. If that’s getting a chance with the first team and playing Under-21s and earning my shot, that’s what I’ll do.”

Should Gabriele Biancheri stay and fight for Man Utd’s first-team minutes?
The road to the United first team is never short — or easy. And Biancheri knows it.
With Rasmus Højlund, Chido Obi, and Ethan Wheatley ahead of him in the pecking order, the striker understands that game time at the senior level might come quicker away from Old Trafford.
But don’t mistake this for a goodbye. Biancheri still has his sights set firmly on the red shirt.
“That’s why I play football: to play at the highest level, to play for Man United’s first team,” he said. “Playing for United’s first team is a dream, but I know I can make it happen.”
Off the pitch, Biancheri is also juggling a major decision — his international future. Eligible to play for Wales, Italy, or Canada, he’s keeping his options open. After joining Canada’s recent training camp, he admitted he’s warming up to the idea.
“Canada is a credible option and one I am thinking about… I have to feel it myself. You have to have pride in wearing the shirt.”
With a cool head and a sharp eye for goal, Biancheri’s next step could define his rise.
