Barcelona midfielder Gavi has set the record straight about his future — and PSG fans might want to sit down for this.
The Spanish international has been linked with a possible move to Paris, but he insists there’s only one club on his mind.
At just 20, Gavi has already seen a lot. From making his Spain debut under Luis Enrique at 17, to battling back from a serious ACL injury, he’s no stranger to football’s ups and downs.
But one thing has never changed: his love for Barcelona.
With his return from injury in this past season, Gavi found himself used more as a squad player than a starter. Names like Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, and even Marc Casado often got the nod ahead of him.
Naturally, that sparked talk. Some believed Luis Enrique might try to reunite with his former midfield prodigy in Paris, especially after PSG’s recent Champions League win.

Gavi, however, isn’t going anywhere.
“People believe what they read in any media,” he told Mundo Deportivo. “I understand people who might believe it. But it’s not going to happen. I’m very calm.”
His message was as sharp as one of his tackles.
“My dream and my mentality is to spend my entire career at Barça. It’s the club of my life and where I want to succeed.”
And about Luis Enrique?
“For me he’s the best, the No.1,” Gavi said. “I’m delighted for him… but I’m not leaving. That won’t happen.”
Now back with the Spain squad, Gavi is focused on the Nations League semifinal against France — possibly his first major start since the ACL injury last November.
One thing’s clear: Gavi may be a warrior on the pitch, but his heart is firmly in Catalonia.
