AC Milan makes decision over Man City loanee’s future

As the 2024-25 have marked its end, Manchester City, along with other clubs have dived right into the summer transfer window to further strengthen their squad.

Man City have already been linked with several top names as their potential signings, and rumors about many of their existing players leaving this summer have surfaced as well.

Amid this, uncertainties about Man City defender Kyle Walker’s future have also surfaced. The 35-year-old reportedly expressed his desire to make a move away from Etihad with six months left on his contract.

Walker, then, was loaned to AC Milan in January for the rest of the season, with the deal including an option for a permanent transfer. Now that his loan tenure is coming to an end, questions have surfaced about the right-back’s future.

What’s next for Man City star Kyle Walker?

Walker made his debut for AC Milan in February and has since featured in 16 matches for the Rossoneri. Now, the Serie A club has decided against activating the buy clause, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The report also suggested that while Walker is initially returning to Etihad, he plans on parting ways with Man City soon, with several talks now already in the mill.

The reported interest in Walker also comes as he would not be traveling with Pep Guardiola’s squad for the Club World Cup, starting June 14.

Walker arrived at Etihad from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017 and as it appears, he will be departing from Man City after eight years, it remains to be seen where the Englishman will be heading next.
