Chelsea secured a 1-0 win away at Nottingham Forest on the last day of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign to secure their spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
The Blues now have the opportunity to make their season even better by clinching the Conference League title against Real Betis on May 28.
Th completion of that final will see Maresca then turn his attention to the FIFA Club World Cup, which begins in the USA in June.
While many Blues fans will consider this season a success overall, former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor is not one of them.
After Chelsea clinched their place in next season’s UCL, Agbonlahor has told Maresca what he must do next.
Agbonlahor called on Chelsea kick on with their progress and claimed they need to sell Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix to do so.

Speaking about Chelsea’s campaign on talkSPORT, the retired England international said: “I’m sorry, Mr Maresca, but you achieved what you should have achieved. And next season, top four isn’t enough for me.”
“They should go again. Get a goalkeeper, get a striker. Get players out that aren’t doing it, Nkunku, Felix, they’re going to have to try and get out.”
Nkunku and Felix both missed the Blues’ victory over Forest, with the latter currently out on loan at AC Milan. Felix scored in Milan’s final game of the season against Monza, but his spell at the San Siro has not gone well.
The summer means contrasting choices for Nkunku and Felix. France international Nkunku has been linked to a number of clubs, including rivals in the EPL, but Felix has significantly less potential suitors.
A return to Portugal has been suggested with his once promising career now completely off track after failing to settle at multiple teams.
