This Sunday, the Pacers will roll out the red carpet at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, aiming to tighten their grip on the Eastern Conference Finals when they welcome the New York Knicks for Game 3.
For the Knicks, the wheels may have started coming off as early as Game 1, when they coughed up a 14-point cushion in the final three minutes, a collapse that’s still echoing through the series. Game 2 didn’t do them any favors either.
Indiana once again lit up the scoreboard with a triple-digit blitz, crossing the 110-point mark for the second straight outing.
The Pacers outran New York 14-7 on the break and out-passed them with 26 assists to the Knicks’ 18. While Indiana zipped the rock around like a pinball, New York leaned heavily on isolation plays, and it showed in the final score.
Pascal Siakam stole the spotlight this time around, dropping a sizzling 39-point performance as he turned the Knicks’ defense into Swiss cheese. Even with Tyrese Haliburton struggling from the floor (just 5-for-16), the Indiana guard still orchestrated the offense with a game-high 11 assists, keeping the Pacers’ machine humming.
Despite a third straight nail-biter, it was Indiana who kept their cool when it mattered most. The Knicks, on the other hand, watched another winnable game slip through their fingers.
Jalen Brunson delivered yet another scoring clinic with 36 points, while Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Karl-Anthony Towns all chipped in with solid double-digit outings—but in the end, it wasn’t enough to tip the scales.
