The Xabi Alonso era is all set to start in the Spanish capital, as Real Madrid are already finalizing the players they need in the summer transfer window.
As per reports, the Spanish tactician intends to play his traditional 3-4-3 system that brought a lot of success to him at Bayer Leverkusen. He needs certain profiles to implement his philosophy at Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants reportedly are close to landing Bournemouth star defender Dean Huijsen and are working closely on signing Benfica left-back Alvaro Carreras.
Apart from these defensive targets, as per Marca, Los Blancos are monitoring former Bayern Munich academy graduate Angelo Stiller. Alonso is a big admirer of the Stuttgart midfielder and wants him at Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid desperately need reinforcement in midfield, and Stiller, with his technical capabilities, fits right into the Spaniard’s system.
The young German is a defensive midfielder with excellent passing ability. He has the vision and the passing range to break open defences with precise through balls. He is the deep-lying midfielder that Real Madrid lacked this season.

Will Angelo Stiller join Real Madrid?
Stiller has the capability to fill up the void left by Toni Kross in the Spanish capital. The 24-year-old has flown under the radar in a superb Stuttgart outfit. He can solve the creativity issue in Alonso’s 3-4-3 formation whilst also bringing combativeness.

He rose through the ranks at Bayern and did well for their reserve team, but unfortunately, he never got an opportunity for the senior side. He moved to Hoffenheim in 2021 and spent a couple of seasons there before moving to Stuttgart in 2023.
Since then, his stocks have seen an astronomical rise as he delivered some phenomenal performances for the German outfit. His consistent performances for Stuttgart were rewarded as he was handed an international debut for Germany against Hungary in September 2024.
As per reports, the German international is valued at around €40 million, which makes him an even bigger prospect for Real Madrid. Apart from the Spanish giants, Liverpool are also interested in the 24-year-old.
Stiller has netted four goals and provided nine assists in 46 appearances this season across competitions. As per FBref, he has registered 3.86 shot-creating actions, 9.73 progressive passes, and 0.20 assists per 90 minutes.
The 24-year-old could be a solid addition to Real Madrid’s roster this summer and his affordable transfer fee may help the club to use that fund in other transfers.
