Scottie Scheffler family tree: Meet wife Meredith, son Bennett and more about golfer’s family

Scottie Scheffler is one of the undisputed faces of golf with two Masters wins under his belt, even if there are more eccentric personalities throughout the sport.

Few players are more steady than Scheffler, who regularly finds himself near the top of the leaderboard in majors and has proven he can win on some of the toughest courses.

While winning the other three majors is still a goal for Scheffler, he has quite a long time to stack victories — and he has a strong family by his side to help him pursue them.

The golf world is familiar with Scheffler, but less known are his family members. Here’s everything you need to know about the Scheffler family.

Scottie Scheffler’s family tree

Scottie Scheffler’s wife: Meredith Scheffler

Scottie and Meredith got married in 2020 and celebrated their three-year anniversary in 2023.

Meredith is a director with the nonprofit Behind Every Door. Behind Ever Door offers community centers for under represented Dallas neighborhoods.

The couple met in high school in Dallas. Before they got married in 2020, Meredith did not have experience golfing, but she did get a chance to caddie for Scottie at the 2022 and 2023 Masters’ Par 3 contest.

Scottie Scheffler’s son: Bennett Scheffler

Bennett Scheffler is the newest member of the Scheffler family. Meredith gave birth to the couple’s first child in May 2024, just before the start of the PGA Championship.

Meredith’s pregnancy was a topic during the Masters the previous month. She wasn’t expected to give birth just yet, but Scheffler said he would leave Augusta if his wife went into labor, creating the possibility that the leader would bow out of the tournament.

Scheffler went on to win the 2024 Masters, and Bennett was born after the tournament but before his dad traveled to Kentucky for the 2024 PGA Championship.

Unfortunately for Bennett, his arrival was soon overshadowed by his father’s arrest after a traffic misunderstanding on the way into the PGA Championship. Scheffler was able to continue his tournament and the charges would be dropped, but the story made more headlines than the family would have liked.

How many siblings does Scottie Scheffler have?

Scheffler is one of four siblings. He has three sisters Callie, Molly and Sara. Callie is the eldest of the bunch, with Scottie two years behind her. Molly and Sara are the youngest siblings.

Sara caddied for her brother in the Par 3 Contest at the 2024 Masters, and Scheffler’s sisters are regularly involved in his career.

Who are Scottie Scheffler’s parents?

Scheffler’s parents are Scott and Diane Scheffler. The two started their family in New Jersey before moving to Dallas. Scott was a stay-at-home father, while Diane worked at a law firm.

Scheffler’s parents joined him on the course during Masters practice rounds in 2025. Diane even hit some balls into the fairway despite Scheffler’s father revealing, “She hasn’t even swung a club in five years.”

While Scheffler is all business when he’s on the golf course, he keeps his family close by and seems to soak up every bit of family time when he’s not playing or practicing.
